Linear planting with a long length of planters in sheet metal STEELAB,
Made in France and made to measure
STEELAB SAS-L Range
Long length of welded aluminium planters
Advantages of the STEELAB SAS-Linear solution
- Uniform mulching along the entire length thanks to lowered intermediate partitions ;
- High-quality finish thanks to welded and ground assemblies ;
- Aluminium planters, a durable, lightweight material ;
- Easy operation and maintenance: each module remains independent and allows for targeted intervention ;
- The lowered intermediate partitions make it easy to conceal the surface passages of the sprinkler and/or lighting networks ;
- Compatibility of finishes and accessories with individual SAS planters and SML sets to provide a consistent and uniform solution for the most complex projects.

STEELAB SAA-L Range
Long length of seamlessly assembled aluminium planters
Advantages of the STEELAB SAA-Linear solution
- Uniform mulching along the entire length thanks to lowered intermediate partitions ;
- Aluminium planters, a durable, lightweight material ;
- An economical solution offering excellent quality/price ratio ;
- Easy servicing and maintenance: each element is independent ;
- The lowered intermediate partitions make it easy to conceal surface passages for sprinkler and/or lighting systems ;
- Assembly of planters using mitre joints or side joints depending on the dimensions and/or requirements of the project.

STEELAB SPA-L Range
Growing trays in linear with removable powder-coated cladding panels on the visible sides
Advantages of the STEELAB SPA-Linear solution
- Uniform mulching along the entire length thanks to lowered intermediate partitions ;
- The powder-coated cladding panels are removable, giving access to the growing tray for easy maintenance and to facilitate the routing of watering and lighting networks ;
- Cost-effective solution: powder-coated cladding panels can be restricted to visible faces only ; simple strips can be used to cover the rear edge of planters when installed against a wall or an acroterion ;
- Mobile solution: the plant containers can be handled with a pallet truck. They can also be fitted with castors (with or without brakes) ;
- Separate growing container and panel forming a double skin with air gap or optional insulation to reduce heat exchange and slow down the drying out of the root ball ;
- The lowered intermediate partitions make it easy to conceal the surface passages of the sprinkler and/or lighting networks ;
- In the case of recessed installation in the floor, the height of the cladding pannels can be reduced so that it is flush with the floor, thereby reducing weight and costs ;
- When installing on a bracket or raised support, the cladding panels can be extended at the front face below the support level to completely conceal it and achieve a perfect finish:
NB: The installation of planters attached to the acroterion via brackets is both an attractive solution and particularly effective in meeting load constraints and ensuring access to waterproofing details.

STEELAB SBA-L Range
Large linear of planters with removable growing trays
Advantages of the STEELAB SBA-Linear solution
- Linear effect along the entire length thanks to continuous uprights ;
- Removable growing containers can be reduced in height and adjusted in number and size to meet load-bearing and/or handling requirements (< 90Kg) ;
- Quick and easy maintenance: each unit can be dismantled or replaced independently ;
- The SBA-L range is a unique, self-contained solution for creating fixed installations made up of removable, manually handleable elements, allowing inspection and control of watertightness ;
- Economical solution in pregalva Z275 steel version ;
- Lightweight solution in aluminium version ;
- In the aluminium version, it is possible to weld the corners to avoid any protruding areas and thus meet safety requirements (e.g. for schools or childcare facilities) ;
- Fixed coverings can be sealed to the floor ;
- These powder-coated cladding panels are bottomless. They therefore provide a technical area under the growing trays, ideal for the circulation of water and electricity networks, network control solenoid valves, capturing water overflow, etc. It is also possible to create a dedicated technical area in a special element that will be closed with a removable lid (see illustration below).

Colours and Finishes
Two finishes are available depending on the constraints of the project:
– Liquid paint: Pickling / High Performance epoxy primer / Polyurethane finish and varnish;
– Powder coating: Pickling / Epoxy primer / Polyester finish.
We offer all the colours on the standard RAL colour chart (except fluorescent and glitter); other colours and colour charts are available on request.
Water management
In its standard configuration, the STEELAB planter has a draining bottom that allows overflow water to drain away beneath the planter.
Optional extras: integration of horticultural systems with water reserve; watertight base; layout for the passage of networks, etc.
Vertical Drainage
We recommend implementing vertical drainage along the side walls as it
provides benefits both for the planter and its growing area.
Optionally, the planter can be pre-equipped with a high-performance drainage
mat to ensure proper ventilation of the growing medium and to provide
thermal and chemical separation between the plants and the lateral walls.
